Cursos rápidos, de meio dia ou de um dia, estão ficando cada vez mais comuns. Um pouco em função do conteúdo que eles oferecem. Mas principalmente por causa de um momento muito especial, chamado intervalo. Que um dia chamou coffe break e hoje virou networking break.
É o momento em que os participantes estabelecem contatos que poderão ser úteis para suas carreiras profissionais. Existem 8 regras básicas para que esses contatos sejam duradouros e eficientes.
A primeira: se você não conhece ninguém ali, não se preocupe. Ninguém conhece ninguém. E todos estão ali pelo mesmo motivo que você.
Segunda: não use frases sem imaginação para se aproximar de alguém, tipo: a previsão do tempo. Em vez disso, comente algo que tenha sido dito durante o curso e peça a opinião da outra pessoa.
Terceira: apresente-se dizendo seu nome com clareza, e repita seu nome várias vezes durante a conversa, para que ele fique bem gravado.
Quarta: deixe a comida em segundo plano. Pegue apenas o que você vai comer de imediato. Isso evita o constrangimento de alguém lhe estender a mão quando você estiver segurando um prato e um copo.
Quinta: não se aproxime de duplas de pessoas; aproxime-se de grupos. Interromper a conversa de uma dupla é intromissão. Entrar numa rodinha é sociabilidade. Se você quer falar com uma pessoa que está conversando com outra, espere até que ela esteja sozinha.
Sexta: não saia distribuindo cartões de visita a torto e a direito. Isso só é um bom negócio para as gráficas. Ofereça o seu cartão apenas depois que perceber que o contato poderá ser realmente frutífero.
Sétima: não fale demais sobre você mesmo, como se todos estivessem se inscrito no curso para ouvir a história da sua vida. E nunca deixe de elogiar os outros. Isso cria empatia.
Oitava e mais importante: nunca entregue seu currículo durante um break. Você está ali para iniciar contatos, e não para pedir emprego.
Nunca é demais lembrar que 80% das boas vagas são preenchidas por indicações. E cursos rápidos têm se mostrado um excelente atalho para conhecer as pessoas certas.
